Biography

I've always wanted to be a musician in some capacity since I was 12 years old, I remember hearing Beethoven's "Moonlight" Sonata and instantly being floored. I knew then and there that I had to be a composer. At the time I was living in a boys' home so... no money for lessons or instruments but I was able to take marching band for elective, woo hoo! Somehow I become involved with a crazy biker church that played tons of rock & roll, motown, Top 40, and everything in between; I had the opportunity to perform with some great musicians and this is where I learned a lot of my improvisational skills.

But my love for music was all-encompassing and I still wanted to learn the deeper mysteries of Bach, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky. After serving a term in the Marine Corps. I immediately enrolled in formal training at the local community college and went on to earn a bachelor's and master's degree in music at UC Irvine specializing in music composition.

Currently I have my hands in a variety of musical cookie jars. Some of my recent projects include orchestrating and arranging music for public organizations and private clients from small piano pieces to large orchestral productions which have been featured in the US and Panamá, producing pop/rock and dance tracks, and remixing 8-and 16-bit video game music. My recent studies had me studying orchestral conducting under Dr. Stephen Tucker and mixing and mastering at Dubspot LA. Whether it's conducting Brahms, playing some Doors tunes, or spinning Skrillex it's all good for me!
