So sad to hear of Ikey Owens’ passing, glad I got to see him perform at least once with The Mars Volta. I’ll never forget that show, usually when I see a band for the first time I immediately know if I like them or not but that show I was completely unsure. After going home and listening to “DeLoused in the Comatorium” I instantly was hooked. I even went on to perform “Cygnus” for my friend Walker Davis’ senior recital. Take it easy up there, Ikey.
